Beneficiaries

For the past 70 years, Wenatchee Valley Follies Guild and Children's Foundation has raised over $500,000 to benefit the community through wreath sales, auctions, and our fabulous Follies Show.  These funds have gone directly back to our community and have provided support for cancer patients, foster children, homeless students, fire victims, disabled children and adults, home meal deliveries, and families in need - to name a few. Below are a few of our recent beneficiaries:

Teams Learning Center

Teams Learning Center was the 2017 Spring Fling auction recipient.  The theme of the event was Flower Power and many of the Guild members wore their favorite 70’s gear.  It was also the first time we had a premiere sponsor table – the Goodfellow Bros!

Haven of Hope Women's Shelter

WVFGCF surprised Haven of Hope Women’s Shelter with a $1,000 check from the Guild’s 2017 Christmas Wreath Fund!  Pictured from left to right is Follies Guild member Victoria Seabeck, Paul Huges - Director of Hospitality Ministries, Kathy Blau – Director of Haven of Hope, Marsha Warren – Volunteer, and Kurt Betancourt – Business Manager.

Eastmont School District Children in Need

WVFGCF member Cindy Seyster presenting a $500 check to Brenda Mooney, Homeless Liaison for the Eastmont School District.  Giving to children in need, that’s what we do!

Wenatchee School District Children in Need

The WVFGCF surprised Suzanne Stanton, the Homeless Liaison for Wenatchee School District, with a donation of $500! Also pictured is Mark Helm, the school district’s Executive Director of Student Services.  Spreading joy and making people smile, that’s what the Follies loves to do!

Charlie's Fund

Principle Kory Kalahar of Westside High School was presented a check for $500 for Charlie’s Fund that helps students in need!

Salvation Army

Not only are there beneficiaries of fund raising but there are beneficiaries of our time and hands on help!  Every holiday season the guild members donate time for the Salvation Army bell ringing.

Foster Children

Guild gals Sandy and Eva enjoyed helping out at a Foster Childrens Christmas Party.  Good job girls!

And More

Giving is an important mission to our Guild members.  Here we are helping a family in need move belongings from an Entiat storage unit to a Wenatchee storage unit.  And the Wenatchee storage unit was generously donated by a Guild member!!

The Follies 2016 Spring Fling auction raised a record amount of $8,400!  Way to go!  And all who attended looked fabulous in the Diamonds and Denim theme.  Thanks for the wonderful support and donations!
